March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election Details

The next Presidential Primary Election for the City of Pacifica will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Please see important information below from San Mateo County, especially if you are registered as no party preference (NPP):

All voters can vote in the Presidential Primary Election but voting for a presidential candidate and local county central committees depends on the political party you are registered with.

If you are registered to vote with a political party, you will receive a ballot that contains presidential candidates for that party only.

If you are registered as a No Party Preference voter, you will receive a nonpartisan ballot, which will not include candidates for U.S. President, unless you request a different ballot. The American Independent, Democratic and Libertarian parties will allow you to crossover and vote for their presidential candidates. Request a different ballot here.

Learn more at the Voting for Presidential Candidates/Crossover Voting FAQ.

Check your registered party at My Election Info to verify that you are registered as desired. You can change your party affiliation by re-registering to vote online at Register to Vote.
