Fire protection and medical emergency services in Pacifica are provided by the North County Fire Authority. In 2003 the cities of Daly City, Brisbane, and Pacifica collaborated to form the North County Fire Authority (NCFA) through a Joint Powers Authority agreement.

Under the North County Fire Authority, headed by Fire Chief Ron Myers, fire stations and fire companies are strategically located throughout the three communities, which provide rapid assistance for medical, fire or other hazardous situations.

Pacifica Fire Stations

Fire Station 71 is located at 616 Edgemar Avenue in Pacifica. Fire Station 71's primary response area is the Pacifica Manor District and north end of Pacifica.

Fire Station 72 is located at 1100 Linda Mar Boulevard in Pacifica. Fire Station 72's primary response area is the Linda Mar area and the southern end of Pacifica.
