Members of the community are appointed to serve on a variety of commissions and committees to focus on key issues within Pacifica and to then provide feedback, recommendations and support to the council on those issues.

Current Openings for City Committees & Commissions

The City of Pacifica is currently recruiting for the following committees and commissions:

Open Space and Parkland Advisory Committee (2 positions)
Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission (2 positions)

Beautification Advisory Committee (meets 1st Wednesday each month)
Climate Action and Adaptation Task Force (meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month)
Economic Development Committee (meets 2nd Tuesday each month)
Emergency Preparedness & Safety Commission (meets 3rd Wednesday each month)
Library Advisory Committee (meets 2nd Wednesday each month)
Open Space and Parkland Advisory Committee (meets 3rd Wednesday of each month)
Parks, Beaches & Recreation Commission (meets 4th Wednesday of each month)
Planning Commission (meets the 1st & 3rd Monday each month)

Local Appointments List Pursuant to Maddy Act

Pursuant to the Maddy Act (Government Code Section 54972), on or before December 31 of each year, each legislative body shall prepare an appointments list of all regular and ongoing boards, commissions, and committees which are appointed by the legislative body of the local agency. This list shall be known as the Local Appointments List.
