Working together, the Pacifica Police Department's school resource and crime prevention officers help to promote drug-free lifestyles among the youth of the community through activities tied to National Red Ribbon Week (last week in October). Activities typically include presentations, distribution of educational materials, classroom door decorating contests and the wearing of red ribbons as a pledge to be drug-free.

For information on how to become involved in Red Ribbon Week, call the main business line and ask to speak to the crime prevention officer. For additional information on the history of Red Ribbon Week, visit the Drug Enforcement Agency's website.
